Q: I just moved here from southwest Washington and could really use some advice of where to go to fly fish in this area, as Long Lake is bad. A: Though we have a number of lakes around here, I&#039;m afraid there are few that are noted specifically for fly fishing.

For someone who collects fishing flies like Imelda Marcos hoards shoes, the experience was, well, unsettling. Sort of like turning John Daly loose in a beer store or Roseanne Barr in the buffet line. Here I was, surrounded in close quarters by a half-million dozen fliesflies in bins, flies in boxes, flies spread across display panels to dazzle and bewitch.
